New Member Information

Being a Delta Zeta new member is filled with wonderful memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. One of the greatest benefits of becoming a new Delta Zeta member is being able to show your DZ PRIDE right after you accept your Delta Zeta bid by wearing our Greek letters!!!

BID DAY - "The Best Just got Better" Bid Day is a night of celebration in welcoming our newest members into our Delta Zeta sisterhood. This fun and exciting event is filled with surprises and a chance for our new members to bond with the rest of the chapter.

ROSEBUDDY - The Delta Zeta flower is the pink Killarney rose, hence the name "Rosebuddy". A Rosebuddy is a special sister a new member bonds with during recruitment. A Rosebuddy is a sister who welcomes a new member into the sisterhood of Delta Zeta. You can go to her with questions and of course she spoils you with all sorts of fun DZ stuff!

BIG/LIL SIS WEEK - In Delta Zeta we share a special tradition of family trees. Each new member will receive a Big Sis and will enter a particular family legacy.  New members are showered with gifts from their unknown big sister during Big/Lil Sis Week. At the end of each week, your big sisters are revealed to new members.

LAMPLIGHTING - This is a dear and old tradition that all Delta Zeta chapters across the United States partake in. This event, known as Lamplighting, is held prior to initiation. It is a special time for the new member class to reflect on what they have learned during their pledge-ship and bond with each other before becoming active members in the chapter.
