We can't wait to hear from you! 4/26/04 To the ladies of Delta Zeta's Zeta Lambda chapter....... Shannon Meek was not only my pledge sister, but one of my very best friends. I still think of her daily, will be honoring her at my wedding (since she will not be able to stand up for me in person), and remain in regular contact with her father (whom I have always called 'Daddy Meek'). I can't begin to tell you how much it means to know you continue to recognize her memory and the reality of how special all of our bonds are as DZ sisters. Not only was I shocked to see the memorial posted on the alum. site, but it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you to each and every one of you for honoring her memory and the true essence of her heart...love for others (including her sisters!). I know she was showing her amazing, electric smile as you all gathered together in acknowledgement, love, and appreciation. With all that I am--THANK YOU! However... the feeling that exhumes you when you are part of such a wonderful sisterhood can never be replaced. These are the days that you will never forget, in fact you will cherish them forever. Live it up! When your college days have passed, I hope that you are able to look back like I am and still be proud to be part of the DZ family! Keep up the great work, ladies! See you at homecoming!
