From time to time we all have ideas we'd like to try, but can't find the time to do them all. That's when we examine our priorities and decide what comes first and what is left out. I am going to conduct a month long poll from now until the first week of September to see what my priorities are. This month's poll is on affirmations. An affirmation is a positive note about someone. As a community we should unite to the good that we find in each other. What is Christ-like about the person who sits next to you at mass? Was someone charitable to you last week? Showing each other appreciation can be a way to examine our own actions, as well as receive that needed feedback from time to time.
The proposed affirmations page would be anonymous and all content submitted would be reviewed before being displayed. Similar to the weekly pirate rants in the school's newspaper, but different in that the themes are wholly positive. So let's get the vote out! Do you want this on the Newman Website? Until then I challenge our Newmanites to submit positive, affirmative rants in our school paper.
God bless and happy polling!
