Mission Statement

Newman Catholic Campus Ministry of East Carolina University seeks to bring students together to deepen their relationships with God, form friendships through faith, and to build a faith community within the Church. Empowered by the Spirit of God, we strive to live by the light of the Gospel through liturgy, spirituality, community service, and fellowship and to provide a supportive atmosphere of spiritual, social, and intellectual guidance that encourages personal development and embraces the diversity of our campus.

Dear Students,

Welcome to Greenville and to the Newman Catholic Student Center! The Newman Center serves the East Carolina University academic community by offering Mass and social opportunities. We strive to provide a setting in which students can deepen their faith and help students to live out that faith on a daily basis. Our programming for the 2009-10 academic year includes Wednesday Night Dinners, Retreats, and weekly Masses on Wednesday and Sunday.

We hope that you will find The Newman Center to be a welcoming place where you can get to know other students, meet Catholic faculty and staff, learn about social justice issues, or just relax between classes. If you have any questions or if we can help you in any way, please stop by or contact the office. We hope to see you soon!
